CityScape's Fall FunFest Presents BATTLE OF THE BANDS
Heart & Soul consist of 3 members, Tom Sandlin (Lead Vocal,Lead Guitar), Lorie Judd (Lead Vocal, Bass Guitar),and Kenny Barefield (Lead Vocal, Rhythm Guitar). We have all lived in the Cookeville community for a long time, and we have all been involved with music in some capacity our entire life. Heart & Soul's motto is "we love music, we are going to sing the songs we love, and have a great time doing it!" That is what Heart & Soul is all about! We enjoy many genres of music from the 60's through the present including, rock, country, blues, folk, and pop. We have been so blessed to get to do what we love, and we are so thankful for our faithful fans that continue to support us!
The Smoky Nights main faces are Lily Bethke and Anthony Nguyen! Originally from Wisconsin, this duo has been performing music together for over 5 years! Anthony is a multi-instrumentalist: drummer for 19 years, saxophonist for 16 years, guitarist for 11 years, and singer since childhood. Lily is a self-taught mandolinist and our dynamic female lead singer. She also created the name for the band, "The Smoky Nights!"
The Smoky Nights lineup also includes TN natives Carson Correll and Eric Cullins! Carson is the man with the beats! Coming from Hendersonville, Carson is a very creative drummer and plays a modified LP Aspire Cajon that he designed and built. Carson is also a founding member of The Smoky Nights, and has been playing with us for just over 3 years! Eric is our super talented violinist! Originally from Chattanooga, he's currently a Senior at Tennessee Tech University and is double majoring in Computer Science and Violin Performance. Catch us playing on weekends to hear him play that fiddle along to The Devil Went Down to Georgia!
Ratnip is fronted by an amazing rock vocalist, Joel Branson. If you like the power ballads of the 80's your going to be amazed! Along with Shredder Pinstripe's screaming Neo Classical guitar, just close your eyes and you’re back to your greatest memories of the 80's. Rick Mullins brings the thump with his strong bass lines. Percussion specialist, Dom Mancini, keeps the heart beat of the band! Voted one of the best 80's bands in the Midwest, takin' on the South. With over 8000 regional fans! RATNIP ROCKS THE HOUSE!
Hawkins A/V Club is an alternative indie band from Cookeville, TN. We have all been best friends for years and want to encourage others to make new friends and build a community where we all have each others back. We've been playing music for a little over a year and have traveled and made friends all over the country. More than anything, we grew up in the Cookeville skateboarding and music scene and want to see it grow back better than it was before.
The Slaven Sisters are an acoustic singer/songwriter duo from Jamestown, TN. They have been singing and performing their own music as well as covers for over 10 years. Performing in places such as the Knoxville TVA&I Fair, the Palace Theater, Wilson County Fairgrounds, as well as many other places throughout the state; they are no stranger to the stage. With their G-rated jokes and humor and their old fashioned country singing, there is something for everyone in their performances.

70-80s Rock and Roll and Country
Having formed in 2007, Spoonful has been entertaining Cookeville, Nashville and surrounding areas with it's blues rock sound for more than a decade. The band's influences, including Stevie Ray Vaughan, ZZ Top and the Allman Brothers, help guide the vibe that is experienced at a Spoonful performance. A three-time performer of the Fall FunFest main stage, the band's musicianship, experience and song choice help all that come to a Spoonful show have fun. For those who love music and are ready to have a great time, Spoonful is the band for you.
The Tennessee Backroads Band is a Cookeville based Country Music band that has played together for over 15 years. We have played all over the Upper Cumberland and numerous shows across the Southeast. Voted best local band in the Herald Citizen 2 times.
We are just a bunch of people that love music and have been playing for over 35 years. We enjoy entertaining people and love live performances.
We've been played on Rock 93.7, and 102.9 the buzz. We have been the local buzz cut of the week twice. We have opened for dashboard confessional, flaw, and coheed and cambria. We've played the red silo, the central Livingston park, and the creme and creme recently.
Southern Sunrise is a newly formed band with familiar faces. A combination of Three Penny Nickel and Smokey Mount'n Bandits. Featuring Lucas McCoy on lead guitar, vocals, and keys. Jim Brigham on bass and vocals. Travis Humphrey on drums, vocals, and rythum guitar. Lastly KC Cope on vocals and swapping in and out with Travis on drums and rythum guitar. We play southern rock, country, and blues covers and originals. We have our first album in the works hopeful to be finished for release by 2020. Southern Sunrise is a new name but each member has been playing in Cookeville and surrounding areas for the last decade.
Stephen James is a Cookeville TN bases alternative acoustic artist. He’s played in places like Nashville Palace, Wild Beaver Saloon, and The Sports Page. Stephen has also been played on local radio station Rock937. He’s also performed at local bars such as Char, Crawdaddys, and halftime Sportsbar. He can be compared to Collective Soul, Marcy Playground,Live and many other 90s alternative bands.
Rising up out of the hills of Tennessee comes a band that delivers high energy southern rock/Country that will leave you wanting more.
TAC is a versatile rock/blues band from Sparta,TN - bringing you some very tasty original music that everyone loves! With the power house vocals and killer rhythm section, Well you just gotta hear it for yourself!
